What this tool does
Generates short-form video hooks grouped by style: curiosity, contrarian, authority, and story. Each type is designed to stop the scroll and draw viewers in. You choose topic, hook types, and how many per type (1 to 6).
When to use it
- Planning Reels, TikToks, or Shorts and need opening lines
- Testing which hook style fits your content best
- Batch-creating hooks for a content calendar
- Getting past writer's block on the first 3 seconds
Inputs explained
- Topic / niche – What the video is about (e.g. content creation). Drives the hook wording.
- Hook types – Comma-separated: curiosity, contrarian, authority, story. Pick one or all.
- Per type – How many hooks to generate per selected type (1 to 6).
How to use it
- Enter your topic or niche.
- Choose which hook types you want (default: all four).
- Set how many per type. Click Generate.
- Use Regenerate for more options. Copy and adapt for your script.
Common mistakes
- Using a topic that is too vague (e.g. "stuff") so hooks feel generic
- Requesting only one hook per type and missing better options
- Using the same hook style for every video instead of varying
Use it with AI
This tool is not AI-powered. You can use the results with an AI assistant in these ways:
- Paste a hook and ask for 5 variations that keep the same style.
- Ask an AI to turn a hook into a full 30-second script.
- Combine with the AI Toolkit for content workflows.
