Resume Bullet Rewriter
Rewrite a resume bullet into stronger variants with metric placeholders.
Last updated: March 6th, 2026
What this tool does
Rewrites resume bullets using stronger action verbs and metric placeholders (e.g. X%, X users). You paste your original bullet, set how many variants (2 to 6), and get options to pick from. Replace placeholders with your real numbers before submitting. Works well with ATS-friendly formatting.
When to use it
- Updating your resume and bullets sound weak or vague
- You have the facts but not the wording (action verb + impact)
- Tailoring bullets for a role and need several variants fast
- Preparing for ATS-friendly resumes and clear wording
Inputs explained
- Original bullet – Your current bullet text (e.g. Managed project timelines and coordinated with stakeholders).
- Number of variants – How many rewrites to generate (2 to 6).
How to use it
- Paste your original bullet. Set number of variants (3 to 5 is a good range).
- Click Generate. Pick the strongest version.
- Replace placeholders (X%, X users) with your real metrics.
- Copy into your resume. Repeat for other bullets.
Common mistakes
- Leaving metric placeholders in when you submit (always replace with real numbers)
- Using a bullet that is too long or has multiple ideas (split and rewrite each)
- Copying verbatim without tailoring to the job description
Use it with AI
This tool is not AI-powered. You can use the results with an AI assistant in these ways:
- Paste a variant and ask for one more version that emphasizes leadership (or teamwork, or metrics).
- Ask an AI to suggest real numbers to use if you are unsure how to quantify impact.
- Use the AI Toolkit and Job Search AI Workflow with the Resume ATS Checklist for full job search flow.
